Personal Pizza

We make it out to Trader Joe’s once a month or so and always stock up on 3 or 4 of their pizza doughs to use on days when we get home and realize we haven’t planned anything for dinner yet. We also just discovered the “Pizza Tonight Pizza Package” available at Relay that comes with homemade sauce as well … we’re excited to try it this week!
For our almost-3-year-old, we section off a little bit of the dough and let him knead and roll it out and put on the toppings of his choice. It’s super simple and really fun to do with kids! …If you’re feeling particularly ambitious, you can make the dough and sauce yourself, but that would defeat the purpose of our go-to easy dinner fix.

Ingredients:
– 1 ready to bake pizza dough
– pizza or pasta sauce (we try to go for a marinara with a lot of veggies already in it and mix it with a lower sodium option to get the best of both worlds)
– cheese
– toppings of your choosing (obviously, the possibilities are really endless)

Let the dough get to room temperature. On a floured work surface, divide it out for personal pizzas or roll out to pizza shape of your choice (no need to stick to circles!) and top. It’s that easy!
Then bake according to the dough’s directions; ours usually takes a little longer than the directions call for, so be sure to check to make sure the dough is fully cooked before removing from the oven.

… It’s also great to have your child help make two personal pizzas and pack one in his/her lunch the next day!
